Southern Appalachian Science and Engineering Fair 2013

    The Knoxville Gem & Mineral Society presented its Special Awards for Excellence in the Earth Sciences to three students participating in the Southern Appalachian Science
    and Engineering Fair held at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
    Each student received a gift card to purchase books at Amazon and a family membership in KGMS for 2013. In addition, each student’s school received a donation of earth science materials to support their educational activities in earth sciences.
